The OPS will be offering a comprehensive introductory course for our field at the Annual Educational Program. The "Ophthalmic Imaging Crash Course" is a 7-hour course that will take place on Friday, November 10th, in New Orleans.

Topics include:

  • Anatomy and Physiology
  • Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT)
  • Fundus Photography
  • Fluorescein Angiography (FA)
  • as well as other imaging modalities and tips for transitioning into the field

With three hours of lectures and four hours of workshops, this course allows attendees to perform the various techniques covered, while receiving one-on-one guidance from instructors at their side.

** Please note that all attendees who are medically able to be dilated will have their NON-DOMINANT eye dilated to facilitate imaging practice. **

NOTE:  This course is designed for those with 0-6 months experience, including ophthalmic technician, ophthalmic researcher or general photographers and medical professionals who are interested in a career change. Ophthalmic technician students just finishing a training program who want to broaden their skill sets would greatly benefit from this course as well.
