The Ophthalmic Photographers’ Society (OPS) created the Board
of Certification (BOC)
in 1979. The OPS BOC serves as the formal body responsible for the certification
of
retinal angiographers, ophthalmic photographers and ophthalmic tomographers.
The BOC’s foremost certification is the Certified
Retinal Angiographer (CRA) program.
The OPS administered the first CRA exam in 1979. The National Commission
for
Certifying Agencies (NCCA) accredited the CRA program in 1999, and
reaccredited it in 2005. |
