Speaker Spotlight: William Reichheimer, MD

Posted By Debra Brown, COT, CRA, Thursday, March 28, 2013
Updated: Saturday, March 16, 2013

Dr. Reichheimer completed his residency at California Pacific Medical Center and his fellowship in cornea, external disease, and refractive surgery at John Moran Eye Center in Salt Lake City, Utah. He currently works at Mile High Cornea Consultants in Denver, Colorado. Dr. Reichheimer served as the first American surgeon to perform double cut DSAEK surgery, designed to replace the cornea with thinner tissue to allow for better vision. He performs multiple custom LASIK platforms, conductive keratoplasty and corneal inlays. He also performs the following surgeries: Intacs, Intralase Enabled KeratopIasty (IEK), Phototherapeutic keratectomy (PTK) and Near Vision Conductive Keratoplasty (CK). On top of all this, Dr. Reichheimer is an avid and enthusiastic imager for cornea and external disease. We look forward to his talk on "Imaging for Thin Flap DSAEKā€ at the OPS Mid-Year Program.
