It's the time of year when people start flipping through the OPS Annual Meeting program wondering how they're going to get to all the OPS classes they want to attend AND still find time to hit the vendor booths on the exhibit floor.  As you plan your time in New Orleans, don't forget to reserve a few minutes on the floor to swing by the OPS Scientific Exhibit booth and check out the winning images from the 2013 photo competition!!  This year the OPS booth (#5139) is tucked toward the back of the exhibit hall between the AAO Technology Pavilion and Bistro AAO.  The first, second, and third place prints are hung for display as well as some honorable mentions.  We'll also have all the winning stereo images running on two stereo viewing "kiosks".
As we do each year, the OPS Scientific Exhibit Committee recruits volunteers to staff the OPS booth and answer questions that guests may have about display images, various techniques, the OPS, and the field of ophthalmic imaging.  If you have 2 hours or more to spend on the floor representing the OPS, email Allison Schmidt ( ) who can answer questions and get you signed up as a booth docent.
If you have limited time to spend on the "floor", the AAO has a very useful tool called the Virtual Exhibition to help you plan your strategy.  The AAO website states, "Visit the Virtual Exhibition to search for exhibitors by company name, booth number, product categories, medical specialties, common equipment terms and basic ophthalmic conditions. Create a My Expo account, tag the exhibitors you plan to visit and print a personalized list. Use the Virtual Exhibition onsite at the Exhibitor Locator booth in Hall G, Booth 3105."

Some features may be limited to AAO members or requiring creating an account, but the basic browsing and map functionality is free for all to access. Just go to:
Hope to see you in NOLA and safe travels!
