Through the years when in Chicago with my wife, Carol or with friends or by myself, I almost always stop by the Palmer House to raise a glass to my fellow OPS Founders, Lee Allen, Earl Choromokos, Ogden Frazier, Roger Lancaster, Yvonne Magli, Mary Manella, Terry Tomer, Anna Wiley and Don Wong. I did not realize it at the time but it was indeed a very special happening when the ten of us met for the first formal meeting of the OPS in Ogden Frazier's room at that famous hotel. I am sure that all of the founders would be as proud as I am of our long term growth and stability...especially the visionary Don Wong.
This year, 2014, is the 45th Anniversary of the OPS. Here’s hoping that others will stop by this true OPS landmark as well.
On the lighter side, in Chicago one year, Bruce Busse invited the participants in Earl Choromokos's Chicago Course to the original Playboy Club where Bruce formerly worked as a darkroom technician for the "infamous" Hugh Hefner. In that one evening Bruce became everyone's hero. LOL
See you in Chicago!
