NEW Course Spotlight: Pediatric Retina: What Your Pediatric Doc Needs
From You
Date: Friday, October 17, 2014 @ 9:30 AM
Speakers: Nina Berrocal, MD and Ditte Hess, CRA, FOPS

Infant eyes are not small versions of adult eyes - they are very different, and they require different approaches to examination, evaluation, photographic documentation, and treatment. It takes a team to properly manage these special patients, and the Ophthalmic Photographer is a vital member of that team. At the end of this course the student will be able to discuss various retinal diseases and the ocular manifestations encountered in a pediatric retina service as well as elaborate on imaging devices employed. They will also outline the integral role and responsibilities of the Ophthalmic Photographer as a part of the Pediatric Retina team.
