Imaging for Diabetes

This 50 minute webinar will provide a basic overview of diabetes as a platform for discussion on Imaging for Diabetes. Classifications of diabetic retinopathy will be covered using clinical examples. Features unique to diabetic retinopathy will be discussed using clinical images, diagrams and illustrations. Specific features and anatomical landmarks pertaining to diabetic retinopathy will be reviewed. Applications of Color Fundus, Sodium Fluorescein, Optical Coherence Tomography and Diagnostic B Scan will be presented using case studies. This course is intended to go beyond the usual description of Diabetic Retinopathy in order to provide the ophthalmic imager with increased insight into what they are seeing when they image the vitreous and retina and what features are important to recognize and document properly.

Webinars will be conducted online. Participants must view the webinar from a computer with internet access. Audio can be heard either through the computer or from a phone. It is recommended to use a headset with mic when listening through the computer. Paid participants will receive an email with the exact login information 24 hours prior to the webinar.
