ICOP Abstract Submission Form

Welcome to the ICOP abstract submission site!  Scientific papers from ICOP attendees have been the backbone of ICOP meetings since 1986, and we are excited to see what ICOP 2014 has in store.   These presentations are an excellent way to share your knowledge, your experiences, and give other attendees a chance to learn how ophthalmic imaging is practiced around the world.

This year the ICOP education program will be a stimulating mix of invited speakers, and multiple afternoon plenary sessions of scientific papers presented by ICOP attendees.  While we have a list of suggested topics, we encourage everyone to choose a topic that may be a special interest, a fascinating case, or a brief overview of how ophthalmic imaging is done in their practice. All are invited to participate in this "user - friendly” venue by sharing their work and ideas. Whether discussing new findings, reporting on technical improvements, offering a new perspective on an old practice, or validating a common procedure, this is the perfect opportunity to present your ideas with your colleagues in a stimulating environment.

Proposed session topics include:

Fundus autofluorescence imaging                                  Wide Field imaging
Diabetic Retinopathy                                                         Age Related Macular Degeneration
New Technologies                                                             Imaging for the Sub-Specialties
Rare and Interesting Cases                                             The state of imaging in my locale

Each submitted abstract will be reviewed by a committee with representatives from each ICOP partner:  OPS, OIA, AIMBI, and OFN.  

Below you will see a simple, suggested outline to help you compose your abstract.  The essential areas are designated by an asterisk, but you may consider the other headings optional if you wish.  Please limit your abstract to 300 words, NOT including the Title, Authors Affiliations or Disclosures.  Presentations should not exceed 12 minutes, allowing 3 minutes for questions at the end.  Please be judicious in developing your material to meet this allotted time.

The deadline for abstract submission is no later than February 24, 2014. Every effort will be made to inform submitters of the status of their abstract within 4 weeks of this deadline.

For this meeting, continuing education credits will be applied for from OPS and JCAHPO. If your abstract(s) are accepted, you will be asked to fill out a required Speaker Biographical Information form and a financial interest form in order to meet their requirements for CECs.

If you would like assistance with targeting your subject, fine-tuning a concept, or with composing the abstract, please feel free to contact anyone from the ICOP Abstract Selection Committee. We will be happy to help mentor you through the process. It only takes that first small step to start the rewarding process of developing a valuable and respected sharing of ideas!
