20 Year Anniversary of OCT

Course Description:

20 years after the patent for Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT) was approved it has become one of the important guides in ophthalmic diagnosis and treatment decisions worldwide. This panel of ophthalmic professionals will discuss the big trends in the history of OCT, how OCT has changed ophthalmology, and how imaging for clinical research has changed with OCT. Panelists will also discuss pediatric intraoperative OCT and the direction that OCT is headed in the future. The audience will be encouraged to participate in a discussion with the panelists. At the end of this course, the student should understand the history of OCT, how OCT influences the field of ophthalmology and how OCT will continue to develop in the future.


Registration:

A registration fee of $38 will be charged to attend the 20 Year Anniversary of OCT panel discussion. If you are attending additional OPS courses, an on-site registration fee will also be due. You may visit the OPS registration table at the Rosen Plaza Hotel in Salon 12 Friday and Saturday 7:30-5:00pm or Sunday 7:30 – 11:00am.

From 10:30 – 11:00am a registration table will also be available outside of Ballroom C. Only cash and checks will be accepted at the registration desk outside of Ballroom C. Credit cards will be accepted in Salon 12. Please allocate enough time to pay registration before attending the course.


Credits:

This course has been awarded 1.5 OPS and JCAHPO credits.
