20 years after the patent
for Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT) was approved it has become one of the
important guides in ophthalmic diagnosis and treatment decisions worldwide.
This panel of ophthalmic professionals will discuss the big trends in the
history of OCT, how OCT has changed ophthalmology, and how imaging for clinical
research has changed with OCT. Panelists will also discuss pediatric
intraoperative OCT and the direction that OCT is headed in the future. The audience
will be encouraged to participate in a discussion with the panelists. At the
end of this course, the student should understand the history of OCT, how OCT
influences the field of ophthalmology and how OCT will continue to develop in

an on-site registration fee will also be due.
