Call for Abstracts

Dear OPS Member and Annual Meeting Attendee,

The OPS' annual Meeting Scientific Session, of of our society's finest traditions, will take place Friday, October 21st from 3:45 to 6:15 pm. the time to start planning your presentations is now!

The Scientific Session is designed to be a showcase of our members' achievements and talents, and all images are invited to utilize this "user friendly" venue to share their work and ideas. What a great way to contribute to the ophthalmic community's bank of knowledge and experience! No previous experience is necessary!

OPS member dedication to sharing information and creativity has made our Scientific Sessions very successful in the past, with a variety of always interesting topics presented. Whether discussing new findings, or reporting on technical improvements, offering a new perspective on an old practice, or validating a common procedure, this is the perfect opportunity to express your ideas with your colleagues in a stimulating environment.

Start composing your abstract NOW! In order for an abstract to be considered for inclusion, it must be submitted on later than September 12, 2011. This new deadline is absolute.

To continue to facilitate the abstract submission process started several years ago, the OPS website has a page where the abstracts can be submitted. Once you have your abstract ready, simply click on either of the "SUBMIT ABSTRACT"

Follow the on-screen instructions. Once the review process has been completed, authors will be contacted.

If you would like assistance with targeting your subject, fine-tuning your concept, or with composing the abstract, please feel free to contact me or someone from the Scientific Session Committee and we will be happy to help mentor you through the process. It only takes that first small step to start the rewarding process of developing a valuable and respected sharing of ideas.

Don't wait, act now, and join in the unique and revered educational event.

In support of the OPS mission of offering educational opportunities to the ophthalmic community, CECs will be granted to those attending the Scientific Session, as an added benefit of Annual Meeting registration. Those needing credits for recertification can benefit from this collaboration by the BOE and BOC.

Looking forward to seeing you in Orlando on Friday afternoon.
