We are tossing them out currently, but wondered if they are good any longer than that.

We toss the FA setup if it is not used within the same day as it was setup. Not sure the source of this process but it's worked for us.

I assume it's mostly because of accidental lid/lash contact with the dropper, and continuing to use. Even with a rubber stopped vial, like the ones we use in photography, I'd throw it out soon after using any.
Curious: are you using only partial vials of NaFl because Spectralis is much more sensitive at picking up fluorescence? Also, what percentage dye are you using, and how much are you using on a typical patient?
