Some French ophthalmologists have been using for a few months oct-angiography, which is an interesting technology:

This has been something of interest for our practice, in particular because some patients are very photophobic or have very poor veins. One patient needed to receive Promethazine in order to be calm enough, one part oral release prior to coming into the office and the remainder of the dose through I.V.

With the amount of scans it will take, and the processing it will require, does anyone have concerns that the present computer systems may not be adequate to effectively support OCT-A?

With Heidelberg Spectralis OCT's, each OCT segment is 6mb on the HRA+OCT model, if we're looking at scanning so closely together as to capture 600-800 segments at 6mb that's well beyond the 1GB capture limitation, but furthermore the addition of data over time....will be very data intensive, is there enough financial compensation from the medicare allowable to cover the longterm cost of data storage on SSD?
