I received the following inquiry and need your assistance in how to reply.

"We are trying to figure out what camera is best to screen for diabetic retinopathy. Do you have any recommendations or suggestions of handheld fundus cameras that would be easy to use in a primary care setting?"

Thanks in advance for your assistance.

Barb,
We have tried a few, and I would rather use a regular non mydriatic camera than the hand held ones, but many of the sites need something that does not take up a tabletop in their offices.
That said, I have tried the Volk and the Zeiss Hand held cameras. I like the stability of the Zeiss design, as the camera does not detach. Also, the larger screen is easier for these presbyopic eyes.
There is a learning curve.
Thanks.
Libba
