Hello! Looking for recommendations for handheld DR screening fundus camera? Or, non-mydriatic stationary cameras. Anyone currently doing this?

Thanks!

Hi David

We are currently using the Canon CR2 non-myds with MA's in a primary care setting. The Canon RICS software is a nice suite and integrated nicely with both our institutional Radiology PACS and also with our ophth-specific AXIS PACS.

That said, we are now starting to explore some of the more automated instruments out there.

j-

Having looked at some of the offerings out there, i had some questions about the numerous hand-held units, that perhaps someone out there can verify or debunk.

I've been told that the Zeiss VisuScout 100 and the Volk Pictor "come from the same factory" and are then re-branded. Anyone have any insight.

Similarly, I've heard that the JedMed and the Nidek are again "the same camera" but rebranded.

Thanks!

j-
