Hi all,

We're looking to possibly update our PACS (currently on a radiology tool, MD's wanting something ophthalmology focused) and I wanted to hear updated opinions on what's the best out there.

I have the most experience on Continuum, and feel inclined to recommend that, but have heard about Topcon's "Harmony" as well as Zeiss' Veracity as an imaging PACs. I'm sure there are several others out there as well, this is just what's been in the conversation here. Anyone have any recommendations or warnings?

Our clinic is a hospital setting, 10+ modality set up, brands ranging over HE, Zeiss, Visionix, Optos and more.

We also have DICOM worklisting on (almost) all our devices, set up through Epic.

Let me know if I've missed any helpful information, thanks in advance for any thoughts on this!

Kaitlyn

For reference, I can say I've been using "Axis" by Sonomed/Escalon for almost two years now. It seems robust and reliable enough to handle a wide array of modalities and devices and still be integrated across many geographically separate locations. It will also allow manual uploads, downloads, and integrates some backend user correction features.

No financial interest. I've been pleased by it's ease and reliability.

We've been using Continuum which we moved to from Axis. I understand that it provides a lot of the same features, though I never used Axis to verify.

Optos has an enticing option and has the potential to support the radiology department as well as ophthalmology (talk about aiming for the moon!).

Speed wise, if Veracity performs like Forum does...I shudder.
