Csaba was just awarded Best of Show in the Intermediate Class at the 23rd Desert Woodcarving Show at a statewide competition held in Mesa, Arizona on February 17-19!  You can check out the story here.

Csaba is very active in retirement, pursuing his interests of fine art photography and woodworking in Sedona where he is the Founding Vice President of the Sedona Area Guild of Artists.

All of this should be no surprise to all of us in ophthalmic photography. After all, we named our own Best of Show award after him!

You may be on to something with the woodworking connection. Several prominent OPS members share an interest in woodworking, and like Csaba have received some recognition for their talents. The late Earl Choromokos received awards for his woodworking and Bill Nyberg has been published in Fine Woodworking.

Paul Montague was a woodworker (among his many talents).  I've attached a photo of Paul in his workshop, plus a few of Earl with his woodworking. We sure do miss these fine men.

I think Jim Gilman does some woodworking as well. Any other woodworkers out there?
