All of these photos were taken by the UNC AV guy, Chris Pippen.  He surprised us by showing us these images when everyone was walking in the second morning!

]]> Wed, 13 Jun 2012 15:43:51 GMT BIG KUDOS SARAH AND MIKE https://www.opsweb.org/forums/posts.aspx?topic=434076 https://www.opsweb.org/forums/posts.aspx?topic=434076 Sarah and Mike had a wealth of support help from both of their university officals, staff, and co-workers, and other OPS members.   They all ought to be commended and I wish to thank them and all of the North Carolina Board members, and OPS members for making this an unforgetable Mid Year meting at Chapel Hill!

They had everything covered from equipment arrival, signage, fliers, balloons for escort of the walkways, parking, food, beverage.  The OPS ruled at the Biomedical Research Building for an entire 36 hours. 

I truely enjoyed Johnny Justice's historical recount of the Development of Fluorescein Angiography from the 1940's until today, and his remarkable journey to Justice Ophthalmics.

I only wished I could have stayed beyond 4 pm on Saturday to enjoy Tim, Mike et al's, Home Brew Reception, but, alas, I had to hit the road back for Long Island, NY.

Thank you one and all for a remarkable midyear meeting, and hope to see more of you in Chicago in November 2012,

Bob-  This was indeed an action-packed meeting...we were SO fortunate to have all the help we did from our respective teams (UNC, Duke) and OPS BOE/BOD members, and most especially those photographers and physicians who gave of their precious time to prepare and deliver lectures on cutting-edge imaging and care of our patients.  You know, interwoven through all the important and serious information that was disseminated was a little comedy, fun and occasional jokes that sometimes illustrated important points (Dr. Sanjay Asranis "celeb(r)ate" story!  -how rich was that?).
