Apparently I'm a bit behind the power curve regarding 25% dye... according to our pharmacy, their source for the dye notified them that they are no longer making it.  (their source is a pharmaceutical company in New York state).

 I called Emory to see who their source was since they  also use 25%, and they told me that they just recently filled an order from Accutome. I was also given the name of the pharmaceutical company who makes the dye for Accutome (Hub Pharmaceuticals LLC. in CA) and sent them an email to see if they sold exclusively to distributors or if the U.S. Gov. could purchase directly from them.  They emailed me back and said they no longer make the 25% variety, but that there was still some to be had in the pipeline of their distributors, of which they gave me 3 names - Accutome being one of them. So, I called Accutome and they told me that they have "plenty" 25% in Lite and Dark variety in stock.

 Now, since I work for the Veterans Health Administration, I can not just order stuff on my own, I have to go through the "proper channels"....

I have not been on Optimal for a couple of years at least, so I'm wondering if I didn't get the memo regarding 25% Fluorescein dye...  Does anyone know anything about the lack of availability of 2cc of 25% Fluorescein dye?  Does anyone know of a pharmaceutical company that still makes it?

 Any help will be appreciated... our pharmacy tells me that they still have 5 boxes of it in stock, but when that's gone, we will have to switch to 5cc of 10% unless we can find another source.
