The 2012 deadline for recertification is just over one month away.

All CRAs and OCT-Cs who either earned their credentials or last recertified in 2009 are due to recertify by December 31, 2012.

Detailed instructions and Recertification forms are online at:

Completed, signed recertification applications and applicable recertification fees must be received no later than December 31, 2012. (Recertification fees may be paid by credit card through the Online Store on the OPS website.)

Incomplete or late applications will be returned. Be aware that this is the busiest time of year for postal services, so please allow adequate time for delivery.

Certificants having difficulty completing the requirements or who expect to be unable to meet the December 31st deadline should contact the OCT-C Section Chair or CRA Recertification Chair immediately.

Thanks and congratulations to those who have already completed their recertification!

I submitted both the CRA and OCT-C info at the same time and have only received the updated CRA certificate. Is there a delay with the OCT-C or should I expect that soon?

The CRA and OCT-C recerts are handled by 2 different people.

I handle the CRAs, here in Hershey; and Beth Benetz is currently handling the OCT-C recerts in Cincinnati.

This arrangement is nice in that all the mailings can go to one address and this wouldn't necessarily have to change as the responsibilities change hands as BOC members come and go.  However it does lend itself to some confusion such as instances like this.

Let me send an enail to the recertification office and see what the status is.

I'll contact you offline with an update when i know...but otherwise this thread can sit here as a reference for others.

Yes, for now the recertification paperwork is still being submitted in hard copy to the receritifcation office in Cincinnati.

I'm relatively new to the BOC but one of the things i have on my agenda for the next BOC meeting is investigating the pro's and con's of allowing people to submit a completed PDF of the application in the form of scans/screen grabs of their completed documents/forms.
