tographers--you all are amazing! The American College of Veterinary Ophthalmologists has hosted a juried photography show for the last 2 years. Most veterinary ophthalmologists take their own anterior and posterior segment photos, unlike our MD counterparts who have talented OPS photographers to work with.The ACVO photo show is a young competition, and I'm always interested in hearing feedback from other photo show organizers on tips and tricks for putting on a successful show.

We have MANY pet owners here and I bet you will see sevgeral other comments about imaging animals and their eyes. I have often been tempted to take our portable fundus camera home sometime and attempt images of my dogs, but I'm not sure if they'll hold still!!  ; )

Welcome to the OPS!

Thanks for sharing the link to the ACVO photo competition. The images are amazing! I like the idea of a popular vote category, which is something the OPS has never done with our exhibits.

Have you seen the online galleries of some of our past exhibits? We plan to add the most recent exhibits soon.

Jim Strong is the current chair of our exhibit committee and I'm sure he would be happy to compare notes on organizing & judging photo competitions. He'll likely chime in with his thoughts here.

Maybe there could be an opportunity to collaborate on a photo project of some sort between ACVO & OPS in the future.
