Hello all,

We had to upgrade our beautiful Zeiss ff450 H10 colour sensor to what I suppose is the current standard. We now have the AVT 2K-5 and AVT PIKE F145B- 15fps sensors for colour and black and white respectively.

Now I just hoping that the service technician has not yet optimized the colour as the colour is not what I expect. It is too contrasty and the images are lacking sharpness.

Anyone with these sensors, who is happy with the colour rendition, can you please let me know what settings you use and what you did to get these settings?

My email is: cynthia.vandenhoven@gmail.com

Thanks,

Cynthia

I've found over the years that different installations of the same equipment often results in very different sensor settings to get similar results.

I rarely like the default settings I've seen across various systems. I would recommend you tweak the settings to get what you feel is appropriate.

I usually start by photographing a gray card, step wedge or mini color checker. See attached article from the JOP (shameless self-promotion alert!) that discusses some of these issues and how to resolve them.

If you'd be willing to post a couple of photos, maybe I can help.
