Not talking which scans to do, but HOW OFTEN they are suggested. I thought I read where unless retinal changes or damage is documented, the patient does not need to have images done on a yearly basis. I know the OCT is capable of picking up retinal changes early on, but are yearly images the normal protocol for someone with no changes?

Her very detailed/excellent presentation gave info on types of imaging and the frequency.

We very commonly do Ishihara Color Plate Testing and All OCT' scans, including RNFL scanning bi-annually on our Plaquinil Patients.

It is also strongly suggested that Auto Fluorescence photos be captured for Plaquinil patients.
