I am looking for someone who has a Zeiss 450 with OIS/Merge capture software that is shooting FAF images. We recently got one such a set up and while the fundus pix and the FA's look great, the FAF images are not so good. Images look like FAF images, but are very 'flat'. I increased the contrast using the radio buttons on the right of the screen, but it blew out the images all together.

I would like to try to change the 'gain' setting, but I am not sure how/where to do that. Can anyone with this set up tell me what to do?

Thanks!

I don't have that particular setup, but you're right. Most fundus camera default FAF settings are very flat & it takes some tweaking to get them to look decent.

Can you do a screen grab of the camera control settings & post here? We could try to figure it out that way. Just a thought....

Using multiple systems, I find that some require more exposure with the AF light than others. Typically letting the light saturate the retina for 15 seconds or so provides a much better image than shorter exposures.

Hope this helps some.
