Scientific Exhibit

OPS Photo Competition and Scientific Exhibit…

Each year the Ophthalmic Photographers' Society holds a photographic competition which is open to all its members. Entry forms requesting submissions of the best examples of each individual's work are distributed to the entire OPS membership. Entries are divided into two divisions: Print and Stereo. Photographic prints and digital stereo images are accepted.

Two panels of judges consisting of ophthalmic photographers and ophthalmologists meet in the early fall to select the best images from each category within the two divisions. The winning photographs are assembled into the OPS Scientific Exhibit which is displayed on the floor of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and at selected other events throughout the year. Prior to the opening of the Exhibit, a third panel of judges assembles to select the most outstanding image from the show, which earns the distinct honor of receiving the Csaba L. Martonyi Award.

It is through this contest and the resulting OPS Scientific Exhibit that we make others aware of our work, and that we help to stimulate the desire to excel at our craft. We are delighted to honor all of the individuals who have taken the time to prepare images for consideration, and who have produced the quality of work for which members of the Ophthalmic Photographers' Society have become known.
